Herb & plant collection in the sun

We drew pictures of spring on envelopes and then got to exploring new plants in the garden. We collected lamb’s ear, sage, eucalyptus, 2 lavenders, rosemary, fennel, sword fern- anything that smelled cool or had a lil’ story behind it.

Envelope of smells!

It really has been fun being outside- the winter is always a little too conceptual in the garden education department. So it’s fun to be outside, engaged w/ plants, and smiling with our friends.
Eucalyptus!

Eucalyptus!

A little freedom in the garden goes a long way. Give them a bit of a choice and they choose what they care about- thus making the learning a little bit more meaningful.
Free time to explore in the sun? Yes.
